New Integration with Kandji Device Management Simplifies Compliance
We’re driven by the desire to streamline the entire security compliance process from start to finish.
It’s why we offer continuous infrastructure monitoring, policy libraries, real-time vulnerability alerts, automated security workflows, and more. And it’s why we’ve built a suite of 100+ deep integrations with the most-loved business apps.
Today, we’re excited to add device management provider Kandji to our growing list of integrations. With Kandji + Secureframe, customers can simplify device management, maintain airtight security across endpoints, and further streamline compliance.
What is device management and how does it affect security compliance?
Even before the rise in remote work fueled by the pandemic, 42% of employees stored or accessed work files, emails, and applications from their personal mobile devices. According to new research by Gartner, that number has now jumped to 55%, signaling a growing security risk for companies.
A device management solution (also known as MDM or EMM) allows you to safeguard your data even when it’s stored or accessed via an employee’s device. It keeps your company data protected, allows you to control access to confidential company information, and helps you stay compliant.
If a device is lost or stolen, device management can remotely lock or wipe it. Device management solutions can also block unsafe websites to protect from malware and data breaches, as well as keep company data and applications separate from an employee’s personal data.
Device management also simplifies compliance requirements like encryption, data backups, application and software updates, and can quickly generate reports for your auditor.
Today, we’re excited to announce our integration with Kandji, a leading Apple device management solution. Kandji allows organizations to share detailed compliance reports with auditors, includes a library of 150+ security controls to satisfy specific frameworks, and is the only device management provider that enforces compliance and remediates issues automatically.
Using the Secureframe + Kandji integration
Information about devices in your Kandji instance can be pulled into Secureframe to inform SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA security controls and simplify audit prep.
Secureframe uses API keys created in Kandji to confirm devices are compliant with these settings:
- Disk encryption
- Password enforcement
- Local Firewall enforcement
- Anti-Virus app installation status
- Screen saver lock
To use the integration, Secureframe customers must have an active Kandji account with access to API tokens, as well as a Kandji API token with the necessary permissions to fetch data for all device endpoints.
