Introducing the FedRAMP Hub: 15+ Free Resources to Simplify Authorization

In an effort to strengthen federal cloud security and safeguard sensitive government data against evolving threats, FedRAMP was introduced in 2011 and enacted into law in December 2022 as part of the US National Defense Authorization Act.
In late March 2025, the first major iteration of the program—FedRAMP 20x—was announced. The purpose of FedRAMP 20x is to modernize and improve the current FedRAMP authorization process in order to meet the needs of the market and reduce the time and cost required for authorization and continuous monitoring with automation.
As the program evolves, more cloud service providers (CSPs) will be able to achieve FedRAMP authorization faster and more federal agencies will expect it. In fact, the FedRAMP Marketplace has already grown at unprecedented rates, with the PMO authorizing a total of 104 new cloud services by May of this fiscal year compared to a total of 49 authorizations in FY24.
At Secureframe, we’re committed to helping customers navigate the complexities of stringent data security standards like FedRAMP. Understanding the purpose, benefits, and process of adhering to these requirements can help set organizations up for success to break into the federal market.
That’s why we’re excited to announce our new FedRAMP Hub, a collection of 15+ free resources that covers everything you need to know about this cloud security standard in one place. Learn the basics of this government-wide program, understand the latest requirements for every baseline, get tips and resources for maintaining authorization, and much more.

New resources to simplify FedRAMP authorization
FedRAMP authorization provides federal agencies with assurance that cloud-based tools and services they rely on to carry out day-to-day operations to the most critical national security missions meet strict cybersecurity standards.
In the past, this was a highly bureaucratic and paperwork-based process (Rev 5) and is currently in the midst of transforming into an automation-driven process (20x).
This makes navigating either authorization process difficult, whether your organization is pursuing FedRAMP authorization for the first time or preparing for an annual assessment to maintain authorization.
We built the Hub as a one-stop resource to demystify FedRAMP authorization, with 15+ articles, templates, and checklists, and over a dozen illustrations, charts, and infographics. Our team of security and compliance experts, including former FedRAMP, FISMA, and CMMC auditors, added insights and best practices from their years of cybersecurity and auditing experience throughout the Hub.
The Hub offers a self-guided learning experience. You can:
- Navigate sequentially to learn about FedRAMP from start to finish
- Use the chapter navigation to jump directly into the information you’d like to or need to learn about
- Choose a learning path depending on your knowledge of FedRAMP (Beginner, Intermediate, Expert)
- Use the search bar on the Hub main page to quickly find answers to specific questions
