Looking for CMMC training resources? Explore these courses and materials to understand how your organization can prepare for CMMC certification and how individuals can prepare to become certified assessors.

CMMC Certification Training Courses

CMMC certification training courses are designed for individuals that are seeking official certification from The Cyber AB and need a deep understanding of the CMMC framework. There are two major types.

Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) Training

For professionals seeking to become Certified CMMC Professionals (CCP), specialized CMMC CCP training courses are available. These courses cover everything from basic cybersecurity principles to detailed CMMC model requirements, helping individuals gain the knowledge needed to support organizational compliance and prepare for the Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) certification exam.

This type of certification is required for individuals wishing to provide informed consulting services to Level 1 self-assessment customers, participate on Level 2 assessment teams assessing only Level 1 practices, or progress forward to become a Certified CMMC Assessor.

Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) Training

For professionals aiming to become Certified CMMC Assessors (CCA), specialized CCA training courses are essential. These courses build on foundational cybersecurity knowledge and delve deeper into the specific requirements for conducting CMMC assessments. Participants will learn how to assess organizations against CMMC standards and prepare for the CCA certification exam.

CCA certification is necessary for those who wish to work for a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO) team to conduct  Level 2 assessments.

CMMC Training Courses

There are other training courses available that are intended for teams and organizations preparing for a CMMC assessment or seeking knowledge about the CMMC model rather than trying to become certified professionals or assessors. These can help employees, executives, and/or board members gain foundational knowledge of the CMMC framework.

Some examples are:

  • DOD Mandatory Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training: Mandatory for all DoD personnel with access to CUI, this course provides information on the eleven training requirements for accessing, marking, safeguarding, decontrolling and destroying CUI along with the procedures for identifying and reporting security incidents.
  • CMMC for Boards and Executive Committees Training Course: This course is designed to introduce an organization's Board of Directors, Senior Executives, and Executive Committee members to the CMMC program, focusing on the most important information and avoiding technical jargon.
  • CMMC & NIST 800-171 Training for DIB Companies: These online and self-guided training courses can help prepare DIB companies for CMMC assessment and certification.
  • CMMC for Business Professionals: A Practical Guide to Getting Ready for CMMC: This course provides an introductory overview of the CMMC program for organizational decision makers, including business and IT leaders.
  • Secureframe Training: Secureframe includes basic security awareness training and insider threat training, which are both required for CMMC. Our proprietary training is embedded within the Secureframe platform to simplify your compliance process, enabling you to quickly meet compliance requirements and save time assigning, tracking, and reporting on required training.
