What are FedRAMP 20x Community Working Groups?

FedRAMP 20x Community Working Groups are collaborative forums where industry stakeholders work together to improve the FedRAMP authorization process. These groups will be facilitated, not led by, the FedRAMP PMO and focus on specific areas including automation to make FedRAMP more efficient and scalable.

More specifically, four groups are launching incrementally and focusing on key goals related to FedRAMP 20x:

Each working group is tasked with identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and developing recommendations for each topic to help shape FedRAMP’s future policies and procedures. By leveraging expertise from cloud service providers, federal agencies, and third-party assessors, these industry-led groups play a key role in making FedRAMP 20x more agile and aligned with industry best practices than the traditional top-down government oversight approach.
