What is the CyberAB?

The Cyber AB is the official, non-governmental partner of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) responsible for overseeing the CMMC Ecosystem. As the sole authorized body, CyberAB handles the registration, accreditation, and ongoing oversight of CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organizations (C3PAOs), Certified CMMC Assessors (CCAs), Certified CMMC Professionals (CCPs), Registered Practitioners (RPs), Registered Practitioner Organizations (RPOs), Approved Training Providers (ATPs), and Certified CMMC Instructors (CCI). 

This organization's official legal name is the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body, Inc. However, it rebranded its name, logo, and public-facing website in July 2022 to reflect its ongoing growth and maturation. Despite the rebrand, its role and contractual responsibilities with the DoD remain unchanged.
