Cybersecurity expectations across the Defense Industrial Base are changing quickly. CMMC enforcement is now appearing in contracts, nation-state activity is escalating, and the gap is widening between organizations that treat cybersecurity as a strategic capability and those still approaching it as a compliance checklist.
To help make sense of where things are headed, Secureframe is bringing together some of the leaders who helped shape today’s federal cybersecurity landscape.
The Secureframe National Cybersecurity Summit 2026 is a free, three-day virtual event for defense contractors, federal suppliers, and cybersecurity professionals across the DIB. More than 5,000 attendees are expected to join for keynotes, fireside conversations, and expert panels covering the topics that matter most right now, including the state of CMMC enforcement, evolving federal security strategy, emerging nation-state threats, and what it actually takes to build a security program that can stand up to real-world scrutiny.
Featured Keynote Speakers
The summit features keynote conversations with several leaders who helped define the federal cybersecurity programs many organizations operate under today.
- General Paul M. Nakasone served as Commander of U.S. Cyber Command and Director of the NSA, leading U.S. cyber operations during a pivotal period in national cybersecurity.
- Katie Arrington, former DoD CISO and CIO, played a central role in developing the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program.
- Robert Costello, former CIO of CISA, spent nearly five years leading the modernization of one of the federal government’s most critical cybersecurity agencies.
The summit will also feature executives from leading cybersecurity and defense technology companies such as Chainguard, Saronic, and Carbon Black, offering perspectives from organizations building and securing critical technologies across the national security ecosystem.
Together, these leaders helped shape many of the policies and frameworks that organizations across the defense supply chain operate under today, and they will share their perspectives on how federal cybersecurity policy is continuing to evolve.
Daily event agenda
The summit is designed to move from tactical compliance guidance to the broader strategic picture.
Day 1 focuses on CMMC, including the current state of enforcement, what assessors are actually looking for, and how contractors can prepare for upcoming phases of the program.
Days 2 and 3 expand into the broader federal cybersecurity landscape, with sessions covering nation-state threat trends, federal security strategy, and practical guidance for building resilient security programs inside organizations that support government missions.
Full agenda and session details will be announced soon.
