A Certified CMMC Instructor (CCI) is an individual accredited by The Cyber AB to develop CMMC Approved Training Materials (CATM) curriculum with Approved Publishing Partners (APPs) or deliver official CMMC training courses through a Licensed Training Provider (LTP).

## What is a Certified CMMC Instructor (CCI)?

A Certified CMMC Instructor (CCI) is an individual accredited by [The Cyber AB](https://secureframe.com/glossary/cyber-ab) to develop CMMC Approved Training Materials (CATM) curriculum with [Approved Publishing Partners (APPs)](https://secureframe.com/glossary/approved-publishing-partner-app) or deliver official CMMC training courses through an [Approved Training Provider (ATP)](https://secureframe.com/glossary/approved-training-provider-atp). 

CCIs must meet a range of requirements, including:

- Achieved [CMMC Certified Professional (CCP)](https://secureframe.com/glossary/ccp) or [CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA)](https://secureframe.com/glossary/cca) certification
- Completed 2+ years of instructor/teaching experience within the information technology/security field, preferably within the cybersecurity field
- Completed a provisional assessor training with the [CAICO](https://secureframe.com/glossary/caico) (soon to be replaced by the CMMC Certified Instructor (CCI) certification program)
- Achieved a favorable Tier 3 investigation determination or equivalent conducted by the DoD or possess a NAC (National Agency Check) or other DoD accepted clearance
